Sustainability at Cepro

At Cepro, sustainability means making responsible choices that contribute to safer workplaces, efficient use of resources and long-term value. We take a practical approach, focusing on improvements that are relevant to our organisation, our products and our customers. As part of the Indutrade Group, we work within a shared sustainability framework focused on People, Operations, and Products & Customers.

Our sustainability priorities
We contribute to safe and healthy workplaces, both within Cepro and at our customers. Indutrade’s ambition is to continuously reduce workplace injuries towards zero.
We develop durable, high-quality solutions that provide long-term value and can be maintained, adapted or reused. Indutrade aims to reduce Scope 3 emissions by 25% and strengthen sustainability throughout the supply chain by 2030. Progress is measured through defined targets and annual reviews.
We focus on efficient use of materials, energy and packaging, reducing waste and improving our internal processes. Indutrade aims to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 50% by 2030.
What this means for Cepro

Safety is at the heart of our business. Our products help protect people against welding light, sparks, spatter, noise and laser radiation. By creating safer and better-organised workplaces, we contribute directly to healthier working environments.

At the same time, we continue to look critically at our own operations. We focus on:

  • durable, high-quality products with a long service life;

  • responsible use of materials, energy and packaging;

  • reducing waste and improving recycling where possible;

  • efficient transport and internal processes;

  • working with reliable and responsible suppliers;

  • continuously improving our products and operations.

A long product lifetime is an important part of our approach. Products that remain safe, functional and reliable for many years do not need to be replaced unnecessarily. Where possible, we also consider efficient material use, replaceable components, repair, reuse and recycling. These principles are also included in Indutrade’s guidelines for products with sustainable added value.

Sustainability is also part of how Cepro is managed. Relevant developments, data, goals and improvement activities are discussed within the organisation and reviewed through the management and board structure. This reflects Indutrade’s decentralised approach, in which each company is responsible for turning the Group’s sustainability ambitions into actions that fit its own activities and market. What this means for our customers

For our customers, sustainability means investing in workplace solutions that are safe, reliable and designed for long-term use. Our products help create safer and better-organised working environments while supporting efficient production processes.

We develop flexible and modular solutions that can be adapted when a workplace, production process or layout changes. We focus on:

  • solutions that protect employees and bystanders;

  • products that remain functional over a long period;

  • modular systems that can be adapted or expanded;

  • replaceable curtains, strips, panels and other components;

  • efficient use of materials through maintenance and repair;

  • reducing the need for complete replacement.

A long service life is an important benefit for our customers. Existing installations can often be maintained, updated or adjusted instead of being replaced entirely. This helps reduce unnecessary material use and allows customers to respond more easily to changing requirements.

By combining safety, quality and durability, we develop practical workplace solutions that continue to provide value over time. Sustainability is therefore not an addition to our products, but part of how we design solutions for long-term use.

Return, reuse and recycle

We also want to make recycling easier for our customers. Cepro packaging, such as boxes, can be reused for return shipments instead of being discarded after a single use.

Customers can use this packaging to return old PVC welding strips to Cepro. We then ensure that the material is collected and recycled through a specialised recycling partner with whom we have a dedicated agreement. In this way, packaging is reused, old PVC is kept out of general waste streams and valuable material can be processed again.

Responsible business conduct

Our sustainability approach also includes how we work with colleagues, customers, suppliers and other business partners. The Indutrade Code of Conduct provides clear guidelines on health and safety, human rights, environmental responsibility, fair competition and ethical business practices.

All Cepro employees have completed the related e-learning programme and successfully passed the final assessment. This helps ensure that responsible conduct is understood and applied in our daily work.
